Where the world's future leaders are born and bred

Ever wonder where top innovators get their drive and passion to be problem solvers? Only a select few have the chutzpah to tackle grand social challenges affecting the world at large.
The editors of CNBC examined the demographics of pioneers on its NEXT List, a compilation of 113 audacious leaders—entrepreneurs, financiers, investors and executives—across a gamut of industries. The findings were surprising.
Revelations included the fact that women were making inroads, and great entrepreneurs are being born outside the esteemed borders of Silicon Valley in many foreign outposts. While an Ivy League education is still a golden ticket to success, it wasn't necessarily the only way entrepreneurs found their way to the top.
